Subject: Safe Navigations in the Singapore Strait and Singapore Waters

To: All Owners/Operators/Masters of Liberian Flagged Vessels

Dear Owners/Operators/Masters:

This Advisory serves to inform Masters, Shipowners and Operators of a new Circular published by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore on 6 July 2018. Singapore Advisory No. 9 of 2018 was issued to:

1. Remind seafarers of their responsibilities, and
2. Inform vessel operators that MPA Singapore will:
   1. Report vessels found anchored in contravention of Rule 10 of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) in the Singapore Strait to their flag state, and
   2. That damage to submarine Cables will be promptly reported to the cable owners in order for interested parties to facilitate legal proceedings.

Owners and Operators are requested to bring the contents of the Singapore MPA Advisory to the attention of their Masters.
