Purpose
The purpose of this Marine Advisory is to remind shipowners, operators, recognized organizations, and masters that only lifeboat service providers authorized by the Administration must be used for the maintenance, thorough examination, operational testing, overhaul and repair of lifeboats, rescue boats, and the associated launching appliances.
Background
Marine Operations Note 05/2022 Rev.1 requires all lifeboat service providers obtain an Authorization Document from the Administration, in order to carry out the maintenance, thorough examination, operational testing, overhaul and repair of lifeboats, rescue boats, launching appliances, and release gear on Liberian flagged vessels.
Authorized Lifeboat Service Providers
The List of Lifeboat Service Providers authorized to carry out maintenance, thorough examination, operational testing, overhaul and repair of lifeboats, rescue boats, launching appliances, and release gear on Liberian flagged vessels in maintained on the Administration’s website.
