RE: Communication and the ISPS Code
Dear Owner/Operator:
We have sent out requests to Company Security Officers and the Desgnated Persons Ashore for emails and fax numbers to ships flying the Liberian Flag. We thank you all for the very postive response and encourage others who have not sent the information to do so quickly as it will ease our communication efforts with the ship when needed.

Understanding the need to control the amount of communication sent to a ship, we will restrict these types of faxes or emails to urgent security and safety issues only (such as to assist in a port state control detenton or to send a dispensation). We will copy the Company Security Officer and Designated Person Ashore as appropriate.
Problem with Emails to the ship: The email service providers for a number of ships have told us that we need their client’s authorization to use their system. Please request your email service provider to allow receipt of the Adminsitration’s emails by the ship.
All Administration emails should be either from Safety@liscr.com or
Security@liscr.com. Let us know if there is any additional information we need to provide to your service provider in order to communicate by email with your Liberian Registered ships.
For additional information concerning this issue you may contact: Mr. Timothy M. Keegan as +1 703 251 2409 or email: safety@liscr.com.
