MARINE OPERATIONS NOTE: 08/2008
SUBJECT: REMINDER - BUNKER CLC CERTIFICATES
Dear Owner/Operator:
As mentioned in MARINE OPERATIONS NOTE: 02/2008, the Bunker Convention will enter into force on 21 November 2008 and from that date vessels having a gross tonnage greater than 1000 shall carry on board a Certificate certifying the vessel has a policy of insurance or other financial security.
If you have already submitted the documentation required for issuance of a BCLC certificate, your request will be processed well in advance to have the certificate placed on board. If documentation has not yet been submitted, please do so immediately. We will process the BCLC certificate as expeditiously as possible.
