Dear All Shipowners, Operators, Masters, Manning and Crewing Agents & Authorized Liberian Filing Agents:

This Marine Operations Note informs all shipowners, ship management companies, manning/crewing agents and Authorized Liberian Filing Agents of the opening of Liberia’s local office in Mumbai, India to process seafarers’ certification and documentation.

Authorized Liberian Filing Agents located in the countries listed below are assigned to process their applications at the Mumbai office which has the ability to locally print Liberian credentials for all seafarers.

• Saudi Arabia
• Sri Lanka
• Bangladesh

The Mumbai office works under similar procedures to our Manila, Philippines, office in providing all seafarers with a four-day processing of their Liberian credentials. This procedure allows local seafarers to obtain their Liberian documents within a normal business week if properly applied since all printing of official Liberian credentials is carried out locally.
